COMING THIS HALLOWEEN, NYC HAS A NEW HAUNTED HOUSE. GET READY FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT, SOMETHING TRULY FRIGHTENING. From the creators of “A Midsummer Nightmare” comes “HAUNTED HOUSE” October 6 – October 31, 2009 NO ONE UNDER 18 ADMITTED. AND YOU HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO WALK THROUGH ALONE. WARNING: “HAUNTED HOUSE” is an intense interactive experience. You don’t just walk through it – you live it. And yes, you will be touched. This is not your typical haunted house. No huddled groups, no holding hands, no turning back. The only thing turning will be your stomach as you experience fifteen minutes of fear…ALONE. From the twisted minds of Josh Randall and Kristjan Thor, the creators of this summer’s “A Midsummer Nightmare” (the off-season, X-rated haunted house that TIME OUT NY described as “this experimental haunted house makes SAW look like the Velveteen Rabbit” and the NY TIMES called “a creepy, crawly mystery in the dark.”) comes NYC’s newest, cheapest, and scariest haunted house attraction. “HAUNTED HOUSE” will run Tuesday – Sunday from October 6 – October 31, 2009 at the Vortex Theater (164 Eleventh Avenue, between 22/23 Street, across the street from Chelsea Piers). The “HOUSE” will be open Tuesday-Friday 7:00pm – 11:00pm, and Saturday-Sunday 5:00pm – 11:00pm. Tickets are $12 (Advance purchase online), $14 (Cash at the door), or $20 for Special VIP Access. A very select number of $20 Special VIP Access tickets will be available online only and will enable the ticket holder to skip to the front of line.
